AG Ken Cuccinelli – Guns And Churches – OK

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has offered an opinion on whether it’s permissible in the state to carry a gun into a worship service. Cuccinelli reiterated that the Virginia Constitution protects the right to bear arms, but says the law also recognizes the importance of property rights. The Virginia Attorney General stressed that churches, synagogues, mosques and other religious entities can restrict or ban the carrying of weapons onto their private property.
