Bedford School Board Votes on Bedford Primary

In a 6-2 vote last night, The Bedford School board passed a 2011-12 spending plan with $91.8 million for operations. The Bedford Primary School will operate as a grades K-1 school with preschoolers next year. The board had voted March 31 on a budget that would have closed the school. Bedford City Council recently voted to pursue litigation in the matter, stating that it believes closing the school violates wording in a contract with the county and school officials for services.
