Airshow Prep is Underway

It’s been busy at Lynchburg Regional Airport as preparations are made for next weekend’s air show.  Organizers have been putting up arresting gear, which are basically trenches that are used to help a plane stop in the event of an emergency landing.  Nearly 60-thousand people are expected over the weekend of May 21st and there will be 500 volunteers on hand.  Organizers say although the show will not take place until next weekend, a member of the Blue Angels may be flying in the area today as part of safety testing.
