Amtrak Ridership is Up

Ridership is up on Amtrak’s Lynchburg to Washington route.  Nearly 17,000 passengers used the service in April – a 40-percent increase over the previous month.    Amtrak says April was the best month ever for its Northeast Regional train, which has exceeded ridership and revenue expectations by substantial margins each month since service between Lynchburg and Washington started in October 2009.
