The Lynchburg School Board has unanimously passed its budget. Under the spending plan about 22 employees are expected to lose their jobs, mostly teacher’s aides and office staff. There will also be some new hires under the budget, including three resource officers after the Police Department had to pull officers from schools because of its spending cuts. School officials say about 300-thousand-dollars in surplus money will be put into a contingency fund for possible bonuses in July.
