National Drug Take Back Intiative

Lynchburg’s Police Department took part in the National Drug Take Back Initiative Saturday as area residents dropped off expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs at police headquarters.  Volunteers were also on hand to educate the public on the proper ways to get rid of prescription drugs.   The Drug Enforcement Administration started the campaign to rid homes of potentially dangerous drugs that are often stolen or even abused.
