No Heating Assistance For Star City Elderly

It could be a difficult winter for some elderly residents of the Roanoke Valley. Roanoke’s Local Office on Aging has learned that there is no heating assistance money to help seniors offset their winter energy bills this year. The program usually has a budget of about 30-thousand dollars, but there is no grant money available. The office is asking the community to help because those in need have no way to pay their bills and they need assistance.
