Bill Bolling to be his successor. While other Republicans with ambitions for statewide office begin positioning for the gubernatorial race that is still 18 months away.

Cuccinelli was among the first state attorneys general to file federal lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of President Barack Obama’s health care reform law in 2010.
