Charges Certified For Mother/Son In Appomattox

Charges have been certified against a mother and son accused of theft. Appomattox County Historical Society treasurer, 73-year-old June Thornhill and her 45-year-old son Ronald were arrested in October for allegedly taking more than 21-thousand dollars from the organization. The two are charged with five counts of grand larceny and five counts of conspiracy to commit grand larceny and Ronald Thornhill also faces a felony bad check charge. The Thornhills remain free on secured bonds of five-thousand dollars. The next grand jury will meet in January.
