It’s now up to the Virginia Supreme Court to decide the merits of Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s lawsuit which says he’s entitled to see documents linked to climate change. Cuccinelli and University of Virginia attorneys made their cases yesterday before the justices. The attorney general, who isn’t sold on global warming, wants to see the papers that apparently helped former UVA climate scientist Michael Mann receive a research grant. The Virginia Supreme Court is being asked to overturn a ruling by an Albemarle County judge, who said Cuccinelli did not prove fraud was committed and that his requests went beyond provisions in the Fraud Against Taxpayers Act.
