LU Is New Owner of The Wingate

Liberty University has bought the Wingate by Wyndham on Candlers Mountain at foreclosure auction for 9.2 million dollars. School officials say they plan to continue to use it as a hotel for now. Liberty University used to own the land the hotel sits on but sold it in the 1990’s.
