Store Clerk Charged With Assault

The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office says a convenience store clerk was arrested Wednesday evening. According to deputies, 48 year old Michael Mulhern, faces malicious wounding charges after assaulted three customers. According to a press release, Mulhern, the clerk at the Apple Market on Route 29 in Amherst County got angry with a customer, following him outside and hit him in the head; he also hit another customer and pushed the man’s wife,. He is being held without bond.
