Lynchburg Tribal is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Kaleidoscope Bellydance Hafla. This annual dance showcase draws dancers, musicians, performers, and artists from across Virginia. This year the Hafla (loosely translated as “dance party”)boasts more performers & variety than ever before; Tribal, Celtic, Egyptian, and Cabaret dancers, hoopers, musicians, and so much more.
Bellydance has roots in the ancient dances of the Middle East, Asia, and North Africa. For ages belly dancers have entertained as street performers, in restaurants, and at various cultural events like weddings, births, and festivals. While there are many traditions and distinct styles of Bellydance, all emphasize the grace and strength of the dancer and highlight her balance and muscle control.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, though the sponsors do suggest making a donation. All are invited to come experience a magical evening full of incredible dancing, music, and Vaudeville showmanship.
