UPDATE: A Moneta man will likely serve a ten-year prison sentence for possession of child pornography. The Bedford County Circuit Court jury made the prison term recommendation for 44-year-old Ricky Martin Sr. on Tuesday after convicting him of 36 charges, one for each photo described as sexually explicit. The photos are of a young family member and they were discovered in Martin’s trailer in January 2011.

A Bedford County jury Tuesday found a Moneta man guilty of knowing that the nude photos he possessed of a young female relative were taken when she was younger than 18– 43 year old, Ricky Martin will be sentenced today on 36 counts of knowingly possessing child pornography. The female who is now in her 30s, testified she believed she about 16 and half years of age when the pictures were taken. The photos were discovered during a search of Martin’s trailer in January of 2011 by investigators from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
