The Bedford County school board voted 5-2 last night to approve a new contract for Superintendent Doug Schuch. Some county residents wanted the board to hold off on a vote until after election day – because two members of the school board were appointed, not elected. Schuch has been Bedford County’s superintendent since 2009.
