Appomattox Officials Approve First Step To New Hotel/Welcome Center

Appomattox Supervisors have approved an economic feasibility study for a hotel and welcome center. Under the plan, a 200-room hotel, a conference center and welcome center would be created in Appomattox. Supporters want to draw Civil War tourists to stay in Appomattox rather than Lynchburg and Farmville.
