The Appomattox Board of Supervisors on Monday rejected the sewer line proposal submitted by Town Council. The town offered to fund the installation of a new sewer line at no cost to the county as long as the town boundary line could be extended further into the region. In a letter dated Sept. 13, Council informed the Supervisors that they had until Oct. 19 to respond to their proposal before the offer was withdrawn. According to WSET, the majority didn’t agree with terms in the current sewer proposal. Instead, Board members are expected to offer a counter proposal at their next meeting; one which will provide the town a list of their alternatives.
