A judge yesterday ordered a murder suspect to be held without bail. Police arrested 44-year-old Jose Maldonado of Lynchburg two weeks ago for the stabbing death of another city man, 39-year-old Mark Rowley. Prosecutors told the judge Maldonado is on probation for a drug charge and has prior convictions in another state on sex and drug charges.
