“Take a journey with the Bedford Museum & Genealogical Library as we travel through Bedford City’s Longwood, Oakwood & Greenwood Cemeteries and learn about some of the Civic Leaders that helped shape the city. Some of the individuals that reenactors will portray this year include: Henry M. Stowe (Postmaster from Ohio and Elk’s Home resident), Rufus Overstreet (merchant and Moonshine maker), Willie Stone (Merchant, and Photographer), Junia Graves (One of first female lawyers in Bedford City), Stuart Saunders (President of Norfolk & Western Railroad), Historian Lula Parker and several others.
The walk will be on Thursday, October 11, at 6:30 pm, with a rain date of Oct. 18th. Tickets are $8 in advanced and $10 at the door, 13- 18 are half price & 12 and under are free. Tours will start at the Longwood Baptist Church parking lot at 6:30 pm.
