Blue Ridge Parkway?…Yes- There Is An APP For That!

Leaf Peepers have a new mobile tool to help them plan a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway just in time for fall foliage. The National Park Service and the Blue Ridge Parkway Association have partnered to launch the Parkway – Travel Planner, mobile app. The app includes GPS mapping capabilities for hundreds of points of interest along the Parkway, historical information, lodging and camping options, major hiking trail descriptions, and visitor services on the Parkway and in nearby communities. There is no charge to download the “Blue Ridge – Travel Planner” and it’s available on both Android(tm) and iPhone(r) platforms. Download links are available at www.blueridgeparkway.org/mobileapp.
