UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory For Residents on 120 City Streets

A number of Lynchburg residents and businesses are under a boil water advisory after a construction worker hit a water main on Old Forest road. That accident has affected more than 120 streets and the city’s Department of Water Resources says the potentially contaminated water may not be safe to drink. City officials say until thes notice is lifted, all affected residents should be boiling their water or drinking bottled water.
