Deadly Weekend for Young Passengers

Weekend crashes killed two young passengers. Early yesterday morning a Montvale boy, 15-year-old Lewis Dickerson, died in a one-car crash on Route 460 in Bedford County. He was a passenger in a car that ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment and overturned several times. Saturday afternoon another one-car crash killed a nine-year-old boy, Ashton Sorrells of Buena Vista. That one happened on Route 39 in Rockbridge County. State police Sorrell’s father was driving when his car left the road and hit several trees.
