Johnson Health Center Opens Facility In Madison Heights

A subsidiary of the Johnson Health Center has opened in Madison Heights. According to the New Era Progress, the JHC in Lynchburg is overwhelmed by the patient load, which makes it difficult for patients to get same-day appointments. The new Amherst County center offers increased accessibility; open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Clients initially will have access to only the basics, such as lab results and medications. The center will soon offer a full compliment of medical services from immunizations and sick visits to physicals and chronic disease management. The Johnson Health Center expects to open a third branch, on Lakeside Drive in Lynchburg in two to three years. A formal grand opening at the Madison Heights Center will be held on Nov. 16
