Lower Gas Prices Could Be the Gift For The Season

For seven of the last nine years, AAA Mid-Atlantic has predicted a decrease in gasoline prices through the holiday season. The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded now stands at $3.78. Virginia is also seeing a decrease, with the statewide average now at $3.62 a gallon, which is a nickel less compared to last week and three cents less than a week ago. Expert say to expect a decrease in the price of gas through the first of the year, but warn that some markets could see a brief gas spike over the next ten days before prices go down in November and December.
