Senate Candidates Make Campaign Stop In Roanoke

U.S. Senate candidates Tim Kaine and George Allen made appearances in Roanoke yesterday, speaking separately to members of the Virginia Economic Developers Association. The Democratic Kaine talked about his plans to accelerate economic growth, build a talented workforce and address the country’s financial problems. The Republican Allen said he would “unleash” Virginia’s energy resources and work to roll back regulations he says are strangling businesses in Virginia. Both Kaine and Allen will be back in western Virginia next week for the fifth and final debate of the Senate campaign.
