Wind Storm Cleanup Will Cost Less In Bedford

The cleanup from the June 30th derecho wind storm won’t cost Bedford County as much as officials had predicted. According to the News and Advance, County supervisors tonight will vote on paying more than 27-thousand dollars for nine sites where residents brought their debris for a month after the storm. The figure is significantly less than a $75,000 amount that was authorized in July because many sites didn’t receive anticipated volumes of debris.
