Bedford’s Regional Water Authority Is Approved

The Bedford County Public Service Authority on Tuesday agreed to move forward in a merger with the city of Bedford’s water and sewer operations. The joint authority is a byproduct of the city’s effort to revert to a town and be part of the county. According to the News & Advance, the Bedford Regional Water Authority, a consolidation system is part of the reversion agreement and will serve more than 10,000 customers in the county and the town.
