Bipartisanship Bridge Building Needed As Fiscal Cliff Nears

Virginia’s congressional delegation will be vocal and front and center in any discussions concerning the so-called fiscal cliff awaiting Americans in the New Year. Democrats and Republicans are each saying they need to work fast to avert the combination of automatic spending cuts and tax increases due to take effect in January. Failure to reach a compromise could cost Virginia hundreds of thousands of jobs, particularly in the defense.
