Architects last night presented the Lynchburg School Board with 10 options for the future of Heritage High School. Eight of them had Heritage remaining at its current location in a new or mostly new building; the other two at a new location. Board Members, expressed concern over the architect’s figure of 1,500 students when looking over options for a new Heritage High School. Currently, Heritage houses about 1,100 and School administrators told the board that the number is likely related to future enrollment projections. The new Superintendent says he will take a deeper look into enrollment projections for the city’s high school and incorporate the information into a report on division enrollment scheduled for a board meeting later this month.
