The Campbell County Board of Supervisors has approved the timetable for fiscal year 2014 budget. According to the Altavista Journal, the rest of 2012 will be used for county department heads to complete priority initiatives with financial data and backup and for preparation of preliminary estimates of revenues. There are 26 steps in the budget process; in June, supervisors passed a fiscal year 2013 budget; the board will likely approve its priority initiatives and budget priorities at the Feb. 5 meeting.
