Court Ruling Favors APCO

Appalachian Power will be allowed to recover six-million dollars lost through compliance with environmental requirements after a ruling yesterday by the Virginia Supreme Court. APCO had sought more than 33-million dollars, but the State Corporation Commission denied that. However, the court said that the SCC methodology was flawed and that the power company should only be denied about 27-million dollars of its request.
