Today is a federal holiday to honor our nation’s veterans. The National D-Day Memorial in Bedford is honoring veterans with an event that begins at 11am. It includes special music and guest speaker Louis Alvey. Event organizers point out that there are 22 million veterans worldwide and 800,000 of them live in Virginia.
