Police in Halifax County are investigating a break-in of a convenience by way of truck. The store was robbed around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The sheriff’s office responded to a call regarding an alarm going off at Gene’s Market on Route 58 near South Boston. When they arrived, investigators say it looked like a vehicle had crashed into the front of the store. According to the Sheriff’s Office, it appears the store’s ATM was stolen and believes a pickup truck did the damage. A description of the vehicle has not yet been released.
