The Lights, Camera, Lynchburg! video contest is now under way, and the deadline for entries has been extended to Friday, December 14, 2012, 5:00 p.m.  Some great videos have already been received, and now there’s time for even more videos to be submitted!

Categories include:

  • Amateur, ages 19 and above
  • Top of the Class (for school groups, community center groups and non-profit groups ages 18 and below)

All videos must be between one and three minutes in length and illustrate the theme, “What I Love Most About Lynchburg.”  A panel of judges will determine the winners in the Amateur, Professional and Top of the Class categories, while the Viewers’ Choice winner will be determined by an online public poll.  Cash prizes totaling over $4,000 will be awarded. For complete rules and an entry form, visit www.lynchburgva.gov/videocontest. Winners will be announced during an awards ceremony on Friday, January 11, 2013.
