The Santa Train is being packed today for its 70th annual trip through the Appalachian coal fields. Volunteers will load 15 tons of toys, food and other gifts onto the special train for its 110-mile run on Saturday through southwestern Virginia, and on to Kingsport, Tenn. Organizers have planned 14 distribution stops.
