MADD Urge Drivers To “Tie One On” Now Through The New Year

Statistics show a troubling trend of drunk driving fatalities in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving, following what’s becoming known as “Blackout Wednesday”. Mothers Against Drunk Driving is urging those planning to drink alcohol during the season’s festivities to Tie One On For Safety. The time period between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day includes some of the most dangerous days for drunken driving deaths. MADD’s Tie One On red ribbon campaign, is the organization’s signature public awareness project and encourages drivers to Tie on or display a red ribbon as a visible reminder to keep the roadways safe.
