New Comer Will Open Doors To The Black Friday Spectacle

Virginia’s Alcoholic Beverage Control this year plans to join retailers such as Macys and Best Buy for a Black Friday event. Nearly 340 ABC stores across the state are getting in on the post Thanksgiving tradition with extended hours and discounted prices. Some enthusiastic consumers that just can’t wait until—they can get started on gift shopping right after the turkey dinner; Walmart, Target and Toys R Us are all planning to open their doors Thanksgiving evening. According to a National Retail Federation survey, up to 147 million people said they plan to take advantage of the weekend’s deals—that number down slightly from the 152 million people who said they planned to shop before the weekend in 2011.
