At least one Appomattox County Supervisor is refusing to accept that a resolution can’t be met on the town sewer boundary issue. The Times Virginian reports, Supervisor Sam Carter is planning to introduce a proposal to the Board next month. Earlier in the year, the Town Council and Board of Supervisors could not agree on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly pursue the project and the two governing bodies have been hopelessly deadlocked with an exchange of offers and counter-offers on the issue since. Carter’s motion is expected to suggest that the Board continue talks with Town Council on the matter of expanding the boundary line westward on U.S. 460 to Police Tower Road, with no tax-rebate exceptions given to any landowners.
