Much to do‘bout Heritage wasn’t the only capital improvement need discussed this week at a joint City Council-School Board meeting. At least three Lynchburg elementary schools are at or near the 50-year mark. According to the News & Advance, school officials warn that aging Sandusky, Linkhorne and Paul Munro elementary schools apparently need major renovations— also discussed at the meeting on Tuesday, was the need for new buses and other equipment. The combined estimated price tag is estimated at about $37 million. Many items, such as general IT upgrades and roof repairs, had no cost projections attached.
