Region 2000 Library System Waiting On Lynchburg

The Region 2000 libraries working group will continue its exploration of consolidating the library services of the Campbell County Public Library, Bedford County Public Library System and Lynchburg Public Library. According to the Altavista Journal, Campbell County and Bedford County libraries have already merged their technical services and borrower privileges since the working group began its discussion in 2010. If Lynchburg joined its collection with the two counties, it would raise the size of the total collection to almost 600,000 items and would help localities provide services and keep up with technological advances.
