Student Charged With Sexual Assault At E.C Glass

An E.C. Glass High School student was arrested Tuesday and charged with a sexual offense on campus. The alleged incident occurred after school hours on Oct. 16. An 18 year old is accused of aggravated sexual battery and forcible sodomy of a 14 year old. The young man reportedly turned himself in to police on Tuesday and is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail. School officials say there were no school-sponsored events or activities taking place at the time of the suspected assault.
