The “Cats” Will Stay On The “Hill”–They’ll Continue To Call Lynchburg Home

It appears the Carolina League Hillcats will still be calling Lynchburg home for awhile, after the residents of Wilmington, North Carolina, voted down a referendum that could have lured the team to that city with a new stadium. If approval had been given, the Atlanta Braves had planned to buy the team and move them out of the Hill City for the 2014 season. The Hillcats remain a Braves affiliate, although they are not owned by the Major League team.
