VA Tech To Open Bear Research Center

A bear research facility at Virginia Tech is expected to open by the end of the week. The facility plans to use about nine thousand dollars in state money to learn about nuisance bears and foster cubs. Researchers plan to begin using the real bears for study once a full time permit is granted. The bears born in the facility and any foster cubs will be released. And once funding is available, the researchers plan to tag and track their growth and movement.
