Accused Rapist/Murderer Will Spend Most Of September In Courtroom

Preliminary trial dates have been set in a South Boston Capital Murder Case. The Halifax County Circuit Court Judge this week set virtually the entire month of September as a range of dates for the trial of James Lloyd Terry. The 41-year-old Halifax resident is accused of the capital murder and rape of 84-year-old Charlotte Osborne Rice in April 2011. Terry, a registered sex offender, has been held without bond since the time of his arrest—He faces the death penalty if convicted.
