Appomattox Boundary Issue Is A No Go

Appomattox County supervisors opposing renewed talks regarding boundary line adjustments between the town and county, voted against a proposal by Samuel Carter last night. According the News & Advance, the 3-2 decision against the motion was liken to the board’s decision in October, when it struck down a proposal from council to extend the town’s boundary line about one mile westward to Police Tower Road. The adjustment would have allowed for extension of the town’s sewer line along the 460 corridor. The county is unable to provide sewer service to the area.
