Bonus Decisions Are On Agenda In Two Counties

Campbell County supervisors are set to vote today on a one-time $600 bonuses for full time county and school employees. The money would come from a 1.5 million dollar budget surplus. Campbell employees haven’t received salary increases in over four years. Meanwhile, Bedford County teachers could get a raise if some supervisors and school board members get their way. The two groups tonight what to do with a 655-thousand dollar budget surplus. One option is a 400-dollar bonus for teachers; another is to add staffing to schools.
