Model Railroaders Display For Charity Chug This Weekend

The Smith Mountain Lake Model Railroad Group will once again offer the holiday “Charity Chug” model railroad house-to-house tour this weekend. The event started as a one-day tour and later added a second day. The two days allow for more area model railroaders put their craftsmanship on display. The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1-5 p.m. both days. Visitors to Charity Chug are encouraged to make donations with all proceeds going to Lake Christian Ministries’ “A Child’s Christmas” project.
