City’s Voters League Gets Recognized On New Year’s Eve

2012 was a busy campaign season for the Lynchburg Voters League. The activist group made phone calls to encourage people to vote and provided transportation to the polls on Election Day for those who had none. Tonight, the Lynchburg Peace Education Center will present the organization with its 2012 Peace Prize. The New Years Eve event has been taking place for more than 20 years, is meant to promote the idea of world peace.
