Firesetter Will Spend Less Than One Year In Prison

A Madison Heights man is going to prison for six months after pleading guilty to charges he set a fire to his trailer home in April while three relatives were inside. An Amherst County judge suspended most of the 40-year prison sentence against 46-year-old Henri Hutcherson, but the first two years of the time period will be supervised and there will be more prison time if Hutcherson commits another or a similar offense. Hutcherson was originally charged with attempted murder.
