Governor Bob McDonnell is proposing a budget amendment to allow for state support of those who work with the blind or visually impaired. The governor’s biennial budgetment amendments will include an additional four-point-nine million dollars to help localities cover the costs of teachers, teacher’s aides and staff for blind or visually impaired students. The proposed amendment provides financial relief to local school districts across the state which work with Virginia’s more than one thousand blind or visually impaired students.]
